TMA is ranked first among all the medical universities in Uzbekistan. It is the oldest and most reputed University in the region. Most of the senior medical staff and HOD’s of medical institutions in Uzbekistan are alumni of Tashkent Medical Academy. 10 out of 13 Republican specialized scientific and practical medical centers of the Republic of Uzbekistan are headed by graduates of TMA.
The Tashkent Medical Academy pays great attention to the preparation of comprehensively developed medical professionals. It has a huge campus of around 8,000 acres which includes around 700 major buildings. Around 97% of undergraduates live on campus. Interuniversity research laboratory and Joint Research Centre, established at Tashkent Medical Academy, are unique institutions that ensure effective integration of education and science, contributing to improving the quality of scientific research, actively attracting students to scientific research and the wide implementation of science results in the educational process and medical practice.
